Every brand name is a bet on what people will care about. Ours is a bet on one claim.
LGCY stands for Let God Conform You. The name is not a noun; it's an invitation with one condition: who does the shaping.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
Read it closely. Scripture doesn't say conformity itself is the enemy. It says don't be conformed to this world — because everyone is being shaped by something. Feeds, trends, pressure, comparison. Formation is not optional. The only question is who holds the mold.
“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son.” — Romans 8:29
That's the other half, and it's where the name comes from. The world conforms you by pressure. God conforms you by grace — into the image of His Son. One squeezes you into its shape; the other grows you into yours.
And here's why we print it loud instead of hinting at it: plenty of Christian apparel whispers — a subtle reference, a hidden verse, a design you'd only catch if you already knew. LGCY plants a flag: I'm a believer, and I'm not afraid of that. We can afford that kind of boldness because the saints persevere — the God who begins the work keeps His own to the end (John 10:28). Truth doesn't need a disguise.
We make apparel because clothing is the most ordinary thing you own. You put it on without thinking. We wanted the most ordinary part of your day to carry the least ordinary question: what's shaping you — and did you choose it?
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart. That includes what you wear.
